In 2016, Mackie McDonald became the first NCAA Champion to when both the singles and doubles championship in 15 years. McDonald did not attend any tennis academies at a young age, and only played for his high school team in Piedmont, California.And still he rose, becoming a three-time All-American and Two-time Pac-12 Player of the Year.
